Floyd Standifer is a true jazz legend – he has performed with Quincy Jones, Joe Williams, Diane Schuur, Ernestine Anderson, Shelly Manne and others. Seattle 's Earshot Jazz awarded him into the Hall of Fame and awarded him Singer of the Year. The City twice declared “Floyd Standifer Day” in Seattle!

Bob HammerCharles Mingus called him his Beethoven. He has performed with Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton, Red Allen, Charlie Mingus, Eddie Condon, Jimmy McPartland, Johnny Hartman, Ben Webster, Woody Herman, Clark Terry, Jimmy Knepper, Joe Williams, Barbara McNair, Tommy Newsome Quartet, Merv Griffin, and the Jerry Lewis Telethon.
